Crystal SummerfordPractice Manager and Veterinary Technician
I am a Veterinary Technician at CVC. I'm excited to say that I have been a Vet Tech for 17 years! I have a BS degree in Biology that I obtained from Francis Marion University. For my entire life I have loved animals as most of us do, but I wanted to do more. I wanted to help educate owners how to keep their pets happy and healthy. I also wanted to be the voice for those that aren't able to speak to pave the way for a brighter future for our furry family members. I not only have a strong passion for animals, but also for family. My family consists of a daughter, hubby, 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a bird! There's never a dull moment at my house! Every free moment I get is spent with my family. Pets are a part of what makes a strong family. They provide us with love, comfort, and laughter. They may not pay us back in currency, but they pay us with love, respect, and affection. Why not make sure that they are well taken care of and live long healthy lives?! My motto, 'I can't save them all, but I sure can try!' I look forward to providing you and your furry companions with compassion, health care tips, services, and medical care.

I'm a very big advocate of animal health and safety. Fostering dogs and cats is one of the greatest rewards for me in life because I get to save as many lives as possible. Just knowing I saved a life and helped them find the road to happiness fills my heart with joy. Working here at CVC has been a wonderful experience in following my path to providing animals with the best chance at a normal healthy life. I believe that through client education we can prevent overloaded shelters! My family consist of a Sugar Glider, one spoiled rotten dog and one crazy kitty. My hobbies consist of amusement parks, eating blue cotton candy apples as much as possible, music concerts, and going to the beach. I hope to see you soon!
Lauren HumphriesVeterinary Technician Assistant/Kennel Technician
I joined the Cashua Veterinary Care team just last year in September. This was the best decision I've ever made because nothing could be more rewarding than taking care of our four legged companions! I have learned so much in my short time here and hope to continue to grow with this practice. I understand how hard it can be when your fur baby isn't feeling their best, or has a fear of veterinary visits. I'm here to help ease that fear and make their vacation or appointment go as smooth as possible. I give out free cuddles all day, and I always make sure that your four legged loved one is comfy with lots of blankets and toys. Nestled up next to me each night you will find Rugger, 70 lbs of love, and Blackie, my favorite feline buddy. These guys are the best and with the knowledge that I have obtained during my short time with Cashua Veterinary Care, I am definitely more prepared to make sure that they live the fullest life possible. I hope to see you and your furry family member soon!
