Dr.Caroline RummelAssociate Veterinarian
I grew up in Gaffney, South Carolina. I attended Clemson University for my undergraduate degree, and graduated in December 2012 with a B.S. in Animal & Veterinary Sciences. In the fall of 2013, I was accepted into Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine, where I worked in the large animal hospital and discovered a passion for equine medicine.
After graduating vet school in May 2017, I completed a year-long internship at Southern Equine Services in Aiken, South Carolina. Following my internship, I made the switch to small animal medicine when I moved to Florence, SC and worked as an associate at Mullins Veterinary Hospital before accepting my current position here at Cashua Veterinary Care.
Although I'm currently not practicing equine medicine, I'm still very passionate about riding and hope to soon compete in western/rodeo events. I also have a special love for Boykin Spaniels- I have 2 of my own, named Dallas and Roux (who are spoiled rotten!). My other fur children include a black lab named Little Ann, as well as a few chickens.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my new husband, Dan, and being outside, whether it be doing yard work, going on the lake, or running. I'm very pleased to be joining the Cashua Veterinary Care team, and looks forward to meeting the clients at Cashua Veterinary Care and serving them for many years to come!
Crystal SummerfordPractice Manager and Veterinary TechnicianI am a Veterinary Technician at CVC. I'm excited to say that I have been a Vet Tech for 17 years! I have a BS degree in Biology that I obtained from Francis Marion University. For my entire life I have loved animals as most of us do, but I wanted to do more. I wanted to help educate owners how to keep their pets happy and healthy. I also wanted to be the voice for those that aren't able to speak to pave the way for a brighter future for our furry family members. I not only have a strong passion for animals, but also for family. My family consists of a daughter, hubby, 4 dogs, 2 cats, and a bird! There's never a dull moment at my house! Every free moment I get is spent with my family. Pets are a part of what makes a strong family. They provide us with love, comfort, and laughter. They may not pay us back in currency, but they pay us with love, respect, and affection. Why not make sure that they are well taken care of and live long healthy lives?! My motto, 'I can't save them all, but I sure can try!' I look forward to providing you and your furry companions with compassion, health care tips, services, and medical care.
